Your world is coming to its end But you don't have to be afraid, I'm here for you Save your happiness for tomorrow And today we'll drown in your tears

Your world is coming to its end
But you don't have to be afraid, I'm here for you
Save your happiness for tomorrow
And today we'll drown in your tears

I need to take control of your mind and your body. To be honest, it’ll probably be unpleasant for you. But it is necessary.

NINE SCENES | 5x01 SYMPATHY FOR THE DEVIL

Sympathy for the Vessel?

Nick lived in the darkness mourning the loss of his wife and child, he drove himself into such a solemn pit of despair that his body was the perfect candidate for Lucifer’s possession. How much wrath a person would need to wallow in to be illegible for such a horrific job is unimaginable. Even more so is the way that Nick was willing to accept a proposal from the devil with much less than a blink of the eye, having been told of the unpleasant end of the deal for him. The self loathing is almost tangible, Nick is full of hate and blame. He blames God, practically jumping at the chance to knock the big man from his holy throne in heaven. He blames himself, practically leaping forward at the chance to leave his pointless existence and sacrifice his body for the chance that in a better place he could maybe see his baby again. There’s nothing definitive in Lucifer’s voice, he even denied being able to bring back Sarah and the baby, in fact I think Nick knew he’d never see them again no matter if the promises in this dream were real. He just wanted to feel something beyond his grief.

#and this is why i applaud the writing so much #and even more so mark’s acting because to be honest #they told this in like 10 minutes

Keep it together, man.
